BUMPHEAD PARROTFISH
(Bolbometopon muricatum)
Bumphead parrotfish are the largest species of Parrotfish, growing up to 1.5m in length and reaching up to 75kgs.
Fondly known as Bumpies, they are reef-associated fish and are often found in the shallows.
They can be notoriously stubborn and tricky to hook, making them a well-deserved catch if you’re lucky enough to snag one.
