Currency
Loti is the official currency (plural Maloti). Rands are accepted for all transactions and are linked to the Loti on a 1:1 basis.

Comprehensive travel, medical, baggage, money and cancellation insurance are compulsory on all tours.
This is the clients’ own responsibility and should be arranged in your country of origin.

OVERVIEW
Your journey begins with a transfer from the nearest hotel/airport to our basecamp, where you’ll be fully outfitted with everything you need for the expedition. From there, we ride on horseback deep into the Lesotho Highlands, reaching remote and pristine fishing waters.
We’ll spend three nights camping in the mountains, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty and solitude of the wild.
Each day, you’ll explore different stretches of the river, casting for trophy-size fish in some of the most spectacular settings imaginable.
Our team will transport your gear and provide gourmet meals prepared in the wilderness.
After three nights under the stars, we return to basecamp before heading back to the hotel.
HIGHLANDS CAMP
While in the highlands, each guest will be provided with their own small hiking tent and mattress for a cozy sleep. For those who prefer, larger shared tents can also be arranged. Every detail of your gear and sleeping arrangements is taken care of, so you can focus on the fishing and the experience. Our team prepares delicious gourmet meals each day, making sure you’re well-fed and energised for the adventure ahead.
The last night of the trip will be spent in a comfortable hotel, ensuring a good rest after your adventure.

For those who prefer a slower-paced, immersive experience, the Hiking & Fishing Package takes you on an incredible journey from basecamp, moving deeper into the mountains on foot each day. This package allows you to fish your way upstream at a relaxed pace, soaking in the beauty of the rugged highlands while gradually reaching more remote waters. Without the need for horses, this trip is ideal for those who enjoy the challenge of trekking through the wilderness, discovering hidden fishing spots, and fully immersing themselves in the tranquillity of the Lesotho backcountry.
HEADWATERS HORSEBACK EXPEDITION
For those looking to reach the most remote and untouched waters in the shortest time, our Horseback Expedition Package is the ultimate adventure. Riding sturdy Basotho ponies, you’ll ascend deep into the Lesotho Highlands, covering vast distances with ease while taking in breathtaking scenery along the way. This allows you to access the highest-altitude rivers, home to some of the biggest and strongest wild trout and yellowfish. With minimal time spent hiking and more time fishing, this package is perfect for anglers who want to explore as much water as possible while experiencing the rich culture of Lesotho’s traditional mountain horsemen.
