The African Giant Threadfin is a large, fast-growing coastal fish prized both for its sporting value and as a food fish.
Recognised by its long pectoral filaments (“threads”), which give the species its name, this fish is a strong fighter and a sought-after catch along the West African coast. It is a member of the Polynemidae family.
